Rates from February 2011 onwards. Double bed room US$ 29.-- per person. Single bed room US$ 45.-- No additional tourist taxes are added to these rates. The prices are for a minimum stay of 2 nights. Three rooms are available. There is the possibility to order a large Breakfast and (or) 3 Course Gourmet-Dinner (all vegetables are from our organic garden), for Lunch: we prepair Sandwiches, which you can take on the trails.

20 hrs. Jungle TrailsThis well marked trails will take you through incredibly diverse tropical rain and cloud forest. Lush vegetation, sparkling waterfalls, towering liana draped trees, great varieties of Orchids and Bromelias, with nesting areas for many species of birds. Panoramic views over the canopy of the trees and of the Fortuna Park, into the mountains of Chiriqui to Costa Rica and down to the peninsula Burica, the Pacific Ocean and the islands of the Chiriqui Marine Park. Wildlife include numeros species of birds, beautiful butterflies, monkeys, coaties, sometimes sloths and many other animals. Participants should be in good physical conditions, and be equipped with hiking boots and rain wear. Children below the age of 12 years cannot be allowed on the trails. Entrance fee: US$ 8.-- (Lodge guests pay only once) If doing all the trails, guests should forsee a stay of 3 nights. Furthermore we offer the climb of the Cerro Hornito mountain (2100 meter). For this trail which will take you a whole day, participants should be in very good physical condition and have some mountain experiance. This trail can only be done with a guide and in good weather conditions. Up to 4 persons US$ 72.-- addicional person US$ 18.--. |

How to find us:By Bus: From the Central Bus Station in David take the bus to Changuinola (Bocas del Toro). Ask the driver to drop you off at Finca la Suiza. Bus fare very reasonable. |
General Information:Guests arriving by 4x2 car can park their cars on a secure parking next to the entrance gate. Guests arriving by bus, can leave their luggage with our Indian people living next to the entrance gate and walk up to the Lodge. We will pick up the luggage with our 4x4 car. You can drive up to the Lodge with a 4x4 car having good clearance. From the entrance gate to the Lodge, you have to walk or drive 1 km through forest without illumination, so do not arrive after 6.30p.m. If guests have made reservation, we leave the gate open until their arrrival up to 6.30p.m. You cannot see the Lodge from the entrance gate. Furthermore we can only accept payment in cash. Please no Creditcard Lodge and trails are closed from the 15th of May until the 15th of July and from the 15th of September until the 15th of November. (Rainy-season.) |
